Kitten Care
Kittens will receive a complete examination to make certain that your kitten is healthy. Kittens are routinely tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus (feline aids). We routinely give three (3) sets of affordable vaccines to kittens. The last set includes the rabies vaccine. We also check for parasites.
You will receive a Kitten Kit containing great and useful information and tips including vaccination information, preventive care, healthy dental care advice, several great goodies and samples to get you started, and more. We wish nothing but soundness for your new young family pet.
Your Adult Cat
Cats customarily receive the following vaccines every three years: rabies, panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, and calicivirus. Leukemia, if required, is given yearly. We use only non-adjuvanted vaccines in cats, because they are shown to cause fewer adverse reactions.
We will make recommendations regarding dental health and nutrition, and address any concerns that you may have. Together, let's talk about the best care for your friend and formulate a plan for a lifetime of great health.
Your Senior Feline Friend
Older cats, approximately age 7 on, sometimes have special health needs to address. You may have the need to bring your friend in more often, for more comprehensive diagnoses.
We believe that there is no standard blueprint to treat an older, or any other, cat. We formulate care on an individual basis. Vaccinations are given offered after careful discussion. Our aim is for your older feline to enjoy a healthy, long life with you.
During your pet's annual exam, or at any other time, please ask about behavioral, nutritional, flea and tick-related, or any other concerns.
